On this Wednesday 10 May 2017, Speaker of Chamber of Deputies Right Hon. Mukabalisa Donatille hosted in her office a delegation from UN Women led by Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, The United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, during a courtesy call.

During their meeting, Madam Speaker presented the role of women in the country development especially in rebuilding Rwandan society and rebuilding themselves after 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi which left the County into ashes.

Right Hon. Mukabalisa said that during 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi women were more vulnerable and suffered a lot from killings and sexual-based violence.
