Kigali hosts 7th Meeting of EAC Speakers of National Assemblies/Parliaments and EALA

EAC Speakers believe streamlining communication environment should spur regional development and may as well help them discharging their common mandate. This was one of statements of facts made during their 7th Meeting held in the Rwanda Parliamentary buildings on Monday, May 07, 2012.

Another important event of the meeting was the handover ceremony between the outgoing Chair of the EAC Speakers Forum, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga of Uganda and the incoming Chairperson, Rt. Hon. Rose Mukantabana of Rwanda. The new Chair thanked her counterparts for their choosing Rwanda to host the meeting. She vowed to put more effort in achieving EAC goals under her chairpersonship.

After a Press Conference, all participants in the meeting visited the Kigali Memorial Center at Gisozi.
