In the framework of promoting international diplomacy and partnership between Rwanda and Morocco, this Tuesday, March 07, 2017, The President of the Senate Right Honorable Bernard Makuza received the Envoy of the Kingdom of Morocco to Rwanda His Excellency Youssef Imani, who was venerated for a courtesy visit after his recent installation as resident Ambassador in Kigali.
In their talks, the two authorities discussed on the bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Morocco; The cooperation which was reinforced by the Heads of State during the respective visits of King of Morocco to Rwanda and the President of the Republic of Rwanda in Morocco.
"We want to start on the strong relations initiated by the King of Morocco and the President of the Republic of Rwanda in their respective visits to launch the cooperation between the two Parliaments and you know that Parliaments have a key role in the development of their country.” Said Bernard Makuza.
Ambassador Youssef Imani said that his visit was aimed at tying relations and exchanging the experience of the two countries between the Chambers of Councilors of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Senate of Rwanda.
"We have a number of planned actions and the exchange of experience, we also anticipated that there will be regular contacts at the level of the Embassy to improve all these planned actions.
Morocco and Rwanda have signed about 25 agreements and conventions especially at the level of agriculture, the contacts are in progress since November and we look forward to the arrival of other bodies concerned by these agreements”. He added.
