Monday on March 25th 2013, Deputies adopted a draft law determining mission, power and functioning of Ombudsman Office.
The Chamber of Deputies plenary session before adopting a draft law determining duties, power and functioning of Ombudsman Office, the Chairperson of the Committee examined it; Deputy Kayiranga Rwasa Alfred explained some ideas containing this draft law.
The Chairperson of the Committee explained that, in order to work together and play an equality role in the fulfillment of duties, it would be better that the Ombudsman Office may complement others for the population benefit.
The Chairperson of the Committee explained also that what is new in this draft law is that the Ombudsman Office may review the case
After understanding opinions containing in Political and gender affairs committee, Deputies accepted the report and adopted the whole law.
This draft law adopted in Chamber of Deputies plenary session shall be delivered to the Senate to be analyzed in the committee in charge and then to the Senate plenary session to take resolutions.
