This Friday on 2013, 08th march, Senate staff discussed with their leaders on international woman's day
Senate General Secretary,CYITATIRE Sosthène explained Senate staff Gender equality and complementarity between man and woman in the family, and we can state that laws on gender equality like succession law are being amended.
Senate staff took the opportunity to give different points of view for example, women are reticent talkative when their rights are violate fear of being ashamed or they think that there is no other way. This delays woman's development in Rwanda community.
Hon, GAKUBA Jeanne d’Arc, Vice- President of Senate in charge of finance and administration said that studies on gender equality in primary and secondary schools is needed.
These discussions focused on gender equality and complementarity between man and woman and at the end, everyone is asked to cause changes at home and at his/her place of work.
Since today on 08th March – 05th April, 2013, it is a woman's month, Rwandans shall take opportunity to think about cultural values which can help to promote the family by taking into account complementarity and gender equality.
