Hansard is a parliamentary term standing for a written record of the debates of Parliament. Indeed, it is a word-for-word account of the proceedings of the Plenary Sessions. Additionally, Hansard provides accountability to the public and can be used in court cases to help clarify what Parliament intended when it passed a particular piece of legislation.
