As stipulated by Article 75 of the Organic Law n° 002/2024.OL of 12/07/2024 determining the functioning of the Chamber of Deputies providing for the election of members of the Bureau of the Standing Committee, on 21 August 2024, the Plenary Sitting of the Chamber of Deputies elected the members of the Bureau of the Standing Committees.
The members of the bureau were elected as follows:

Committee on Governance and Gender Affairs: Hon. NABAHIRE Anastase: Chairperson, DE BONHEUR Jeanne d’Arc Deputy Chairperson; 
Committee on Economy and Trade: Hon. MUNYANGEYO Théogène: Chairperson,  Hon. MUKARUGWIZA Judith Deputy Chairperson; 
Committee on Education, Technology, Culture, Sports and Youth: Hon. RUBAGUMYA FURAHA Emma: Chairperson, RUTEBUKA BALINDA: Deputy Chairperson;  
Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Security: Hon. TUMUKUNDE Hope GASATURA: Chairperson, NTEZIMANA Jean Claude: Deputy Chairperson
Committee on Social Affairs: Hon. UWAMARIYA Veneranda Chairperson, Hon. MUKABUNANI Christine: Deputy Chairperson;

The Plenary Sitting also elected the Committee in charge of Assessment of the Chamber of Deputies Activities, Deputies’ values and Immunity according to the article 104 of the Organic Law n° 002/2024.OL of 12/07/2024 determining the functioning of the Chamber of Deputies providing the designation of members of the Committee and their term of office. Hon. NYABYENDA Damien is elected the Chairperson while Hon. UWINGABE Solange is elected Deputy Chairperson.
