On 17 December 2022, the Plenary Sitting of the Chamber of Deputies adopted to summon Minister of Local Government, Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Minister of Youth and Culture and Minister of Trade and Industry to provide oral explanations on the implementation of development programmes meant for the welfare of the special groups of people including people with disabilities, women, youth, and elders.

The plenary sitting of the Chamber of Deputies also asked the Minister of State in charge of TVET and ICT to give an oral explanation of issues identified in the TVET Schools.

The plenary sitting of the Chamber of Deputies adopted the report of countrywide outreach activities in all districts to oversee Government activities with an emphasis on special categories of citizens.

Among other issues identified while visiting the projects intended for the development of people, especially the special groups of people including the ineffective performance of cooperatives, lack of some public servants in charge of cooperatives at the sector level, and the cases of elderly, abandoned by their children.

From 17 November to 04 December 2022, the Chamber of Deputies carried out a countrywide tour of all Sectors across all Districts with the objective of overseeing programs of the Government of Rwanda responding to the needs of citizens in general and special categories of people including youth, women, people with disabilities and the elderly.
