Kigali, April 18th, 2024: Members of Parliament, convened in the joint plenary session of both Chambers, heard the presentation of Prime Minister Dr. Ngirente Edouard, on the Government of Rwanda’s achievements towards improving the quality of education at all levels.

In his presentation, the Prime Minister highlighted structure, functioning and key achievements in improving the quality of education in primary, and secondary schools as well as Universities and Higher Learning Institutions.

The Premier also underscored the pivotal role of Teacher Training Centers (TTCs) and Technical Secondary Schools (TSSs) in promoting the quality of education and facilitating job creation.

He also revealed that the Government of Rwanda remains committed to supporting tertiary education to foster the knowledge and skills necessary for the labour market and align them with the country’s development agenda.

Prime Minister encouraged parents to take a more active role in their children’s education.

He concluded his presentation by emphasizing that the Government of Rwanda will continue to prioritize enhancing the quality of education at all levels.
