From 24 to 25 March 2023, the Chamber of Deputies organized outreach activities in all Provinces of the country. Members of Parliament also joined the citizens in the community work Umuganda marking the end of March 2023.

Members of the Chamber of Deputies exchanged with the leaders at the sector level and assessed the progress of resolving citizens’ problems that were raised during the last outreach activities at the end of the year 2022, They reviewed the preparation of the 29th Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi, and on the preparation of the agricultural season 2023B and its ongoing implementation.

During Umuganda activities, MPs hold discussions with citizens and sensitize them to continue playing their role in the country’s development programs and participating in the 29th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi.

The Chamber of Deputies tour took place in all Provinces except the City of Kigali, and in all Districts except Rubavu, Rutsiro and Nyabihu Districts. 

The Organic law of the Chamber of Deputies stipulated in its article 150, that The Chamber of Deputies organises at least twice a year, visits to the population by all Deputies to carry out oversight of the executive branch, provide advice to the population and identify problems facing them.
