Kigali, 22 December 2025 - Members of Parliament gathered to celebrate an outstanding performance by Team Rwanda at the EAC Interparliamentary Games 2025, applauding the team members for their discipline, teamwork, and determination that translated into an impressive medal tally.

Rwanda’s representatives shone across athletics, volleyball, and golf, bringing home seven medals and reaffirming the country’s growing strength in regional integration and sports competitions.

Gold Medalists:

  • Hon. Mukabalisa Germaine delivered a remarkable double victory, clinching gold medal in the 800m and 400m races, showcasing speed, endurance, and consistency at the highest level.

Silver Medalists: 

  • Hon. Nyabyenda Damien earned silver medal in the 400m, adding to Rwanda’s athletics success.

  • Rwanda Men’s Volleyball Team secured silver, reflecting strong teamwork and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.

Bronze Medalists:

  • Rwanda Women’s Volleyball Team claimed bronze, marking a commendable achievement on the regional stage.

  • Hon. Uwingabe Marie Solange won bronze in Golf, highlighting versatility beyond track and team sports.

  • Hon. Mukabalisa Germaine added another accolade with bronze in the 100m, completing an exceptional individual medal collection.

During the celebration, the Parliament Leadership  praised the Team Rwanda for proudly representing Rwanda and emphasized the importance of  the EAC interparliamentary games in promoting integration, unity, but  also national pride. The achievements at the EAC Games 2025 were described as a testament to Rwanda’s continued commitment to regional integration and unity.
