On October 22-23, 2024, the Parliament of Rwanda elected five members to represent the country in the Pan-African Parliament (PAP).
The Chamber of Deputies selected three members: Honorable Bitunguramye Diogène, Honorable Wibabara Jennifer, and Honorable Tumukunde Aimée Marie Ange.
The Senate elected two senators: Honorable Bideri John Bonds and Honorable Uwera Pélagie.
The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) was established to ensure African people have a voice in the continent's economic development and integration. Each member state that has ratified the PAP Protocol sends five representatives, including at least one woman, to reflect the diversity of opinions.
The PAP meets at least twice a year, with sessions lasting up to one month. The full Assembly of the Parliament is called the Plenary. It is the main decision-making body and passes resolutions. 
The Plenary consists of the Member State representatives and is chaired by the President of the Parliament.
The Parliament is based in Midrand, South Africa.
