Kigali, October 13, 2025 — The Rwanda–Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group held a constructive and forward-looking engagement aimed at strengthening inter-parliamentary relations and enhancing cooperation between the two nations.

The high-level meeting between the Bureau of the Rwandan Senate and the Pakistani delegation focused on practical avenues to advance parliamentary diplomacy and encourage the exchange of legislative experiences. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering mutual understanding, legislative collaboration, and strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation that unite the two countries.

The interaction, which brought together Senators from both the Rwandan and Pakistani Parliamentary Friendship Groups, was praised as a promising platform for deepening economic relations and promoting sustainable development through parliamentary diplomacy. Members emphasised that reinforcing inter-parliamentary ties remains essential to advancing bilateral cooperation.

Senator Kamran Murtaza echoed these sentiments, noting that Pakistan values its relationship with Rwanda and looks forward to increased engagement in areas of mutual interest.

This visit marks a significant step in the evolving diplomatic relationship between the Rwandan and Pakistani Parliaments, underlining their role in addressing global challenges through collaboration and shared values
