On November 27, 2024, the Plenary Sitting of the Senate approved Jean Bosco Ntibitura as the Governor of the Western Province.
The Senate’s Committee on Political Affairs and Governance reviewed Ntibitura’s profile and praised his plans to engage closely with citizens and support their well-being.
Ntibitura mentioned that he is very familiar with the Western Province and will work hard to promote its development. He promised to focus on improving the lives of its residents.
During the plenary session, Senators encouraged him to focus on reducing poverty and improving infrastructure, such as building roads that connect the Western Province to districts in the Southern Province and other regions.
