On 04 December 2025, the Plenary Sitting of the Senate approved two Judges of the Court of Appeal, whose nomination was submitted by the Cabinet meeting held before 28 November 2025. The newly approved judges are:

  • Dr. Nshimiyimana Didace

  • Dr. Ntete Jules Marius

The approval followed detailed assessments conducted by the Senate’s Standing Committee on Political Affairs and Governance, as reported in its report. In reviewing the judicial appointments, the Senate affirmed that Dr Nshimiyimana Didace and Dr Ntete Jules Marius meet the legal and professional requirements to serve as Judges of the Court of Appeal.

The two Judges were proposed by the Cabinet at its meeting on 28 November 2025.
