On 29 March 2025, all senators joined the citizens in all districts across the country in community work “Umuganda” and brought the message of fighting against genocide ideology and the preparedness for the 31st commemoration of the Genocide Against the Tutsi.

This senator's activities were organized in the spirit of connecting with the community, engaging with residents, and addressing their questions and concerns. In various districts, Senators, local leaders, and community members primarily focused on activities of cleaning and maintaining genocide memorial sites and constructing terraces to protect the soil and maintain the roads.

During the community meetings, Senators urged residents to promote unity and fight against genocide ideology using all kinds of means at their disposal including social media platforms. The tools that are mainly used by genocide deniers 

The President of the Senate, Right Honorable Kalinda François Xavier, stated that Rwandans must prevent and combat genocide ideology both in the country and within the region.

The community work concluded with an interactive meeting. The citizens asked questions and shared ideas with Senators on social affairs and government development programs.
