30 September 2024, Kigali – The 23rd General Assembly of the National Women's Council convened at the Rwanda Parliament Plenary Sitting Hall, bringing together approximately 180 women representatives from the national to district levels, alongside key women leaders including Ministers, Members of Parliament, and various stakeholders.
In her remarks, Rt. Hon. Kazarwa Gertrude expressed her gratitude to the organizers and acknowledged the critical role the National Women's Council (NWC) plays in driving Rwanda’s development through the active participation of women in all sectors of all angles of the nation.
"As leaders, and as parents, let us take on the responsibility and demonstrate uniqueness and distinction in solving problems, starting from each person's duties. We have the capacity, the will, and the vision; what remains is to set clear goals with joint efforts," Honorable Gertrude Kazarwa expressed.
She emphasized the importance of the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2) and encouraged women to engage in comprehensive discussions about its implementation. She pointed out the significance of analysing the challenges families face, as these have direct consequences on the country's development trajectory.
