A Rwandan delegation led by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Rt. Hon. Gertrude Kazarwa, attended the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) held in Bridgetown, Barbados, from 5–11 October 2025.
Convened under the theme “The Commonwealth: A Global Partner,” the conference brought together Speakers and Members of Parliament from across the Commonwealth to discuss strategies for strengthening democracy, cooperation, and good governance.
On the sidelines of the conference, Rt. Hon. Gertrude Kazarwa held bilateral discussions with several dignitaries, including Hon. Christopher De Souza, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore; Rt. Hon. Nelly Mutti, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia; and Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Sierra Leone. The meetings focused on fostering parliamentary diplomacy, partnership, and knowledge exchange among parliaments.

On 7 October 2025, she attended the CWP Business Meeting and the election of the CWP International Chairperson, during which Hon.
