On 7 March 2024, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Mukabalisa Donatille participated in the Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament at the National Assembly in Paris, France, during which they gathered to discuss the challenges women face and take action against violations of women’s rights all over the world.

Speaker Mukabalisa and her counterparts in Paris for the 14SWSP met with the President of France, H.E Emmanuel Macron who praised the initiative of this Summit and supported their fight for women's rights.

In her speech, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Mukabalisa Donatille urged everyone’s contribution to encourage women to participate in decision-making positions. “No one should ignore the imperative to overcome gender stereotypes to eliminate inequalities between men and women. We need to strengthen, at the international and national level, the women’s presence and participation in decision-making positions. »

On the sidelines of the Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament in Paris, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Mukabalisa met with Mr Bruno F., General Delegate of the “Assemblée parlementaire de la francophonie” (APF) with whom they discussed the strategic plan (2023-2030) and the objectives of the APF women's network. She also met Ms. Tiegna Huguette, President of the France-Rwanda friendship group. They talked about ways of  strengthening relations between the two parliamentary institutions through their respective friendship groups.
