The Plenary Sitting of the Senate adopts to thoroughly examine the issues related to land titles and land management in Rwanda that continue to be raised by so many people.
On February 7, 2024, the Standing Committee on Politics and Governance presented its report to the Plenary Sitting of the Senate, accentuating its review of the report of the activities of the Office of the Ombudsman whereby more than 30% of queries received by the Office in the year 2022-2023 are related to land title issues.
The oversight activity will be conducted by a Standing Committee which will subsequently prepare a comprehensive report for the Plenary Sitting of the Senate and, in return, will provide to the government the recommendations to prevent conflicts related to land management.
