On 15 December 2023, the Vice Chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), H.E. MU HONG, paid a visit to the Parliament of Rwanda and held discussions with the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mukabalisa Donatille, Deputy Speakers, and chairpersons of the standing committees, focusing on strengthening relations between Rwanda and China.

Rt. Hon. Mukabalisa emphasized the longstanding bilateral cooperation between both nations and added that the discussions centered around exploring opportunities to enhance this cooperation, with the ultimate goal of fostering mutual benefits and prosperity for both countries.

During his stay in Rwanda, H.E. MU HONG also paid respect to the victims of the Genocide Against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial.

Prior to visiting the China-Rwanda Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center (CR. ATDC) at Huye and Aniia Prefabricated Construction Rwanda in Muhanga District, he also paid a courtesy call on Amb. Wellars GASAMAGERA, the Secretary General of RPF-Inkotanyi, and visited Masaka Hospital and its expansion project as well as the China Medical Team.
